Article XIV: Amendments

Section 1. This Constitution may be amended by either of the following methods:

a. Proposed amendments to this Constitution shall be submitted in writing to the Executive Board at least sixty (60) days prior to the regular or special convention at which a vote is to be taken. The proposed amendments and the recommendations of the Executive Board shall be submitted to the convention. A majority vote of the delegates present and voting at the convention shall be necessary for adoption.

b. A proposed amendment which is not submitted to the Executive Board at least sixty (60) days prior to the convening of a regular or special convention may be initiated on the floor of the convention upon the consent of a majority of the delegates present at the convention. Such an amendment, however, shall require a two-thirds vote of the delegates present and voting for adoption.

c. Proposed amendments may also be voted on by referendum vote consistent with Article XI (Referendum).
