Nominations are now open for the bargaining team for UPTE’s 2024 contract negotiations at the University of California and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Nominations will close at 5 p.m. Pacific Time Zone on March 22, 2024. Please check the chart to see the composition of the bargaining team, which is based on bargaining unit(s) and campus/medical center. 

All bargaining team members must be members in good standing and be nominated by at least 25 members who are eligible to vote for them or members constituting 10% of their bargaining unit(s), whichever is lower. The nomination threshold is 25 members for all representatives except for RX/TX at UCM, UCR, and UCSC, where the following minimum nominations apply: UCR: 24, UCSC: 20, UCM, 3.

• Healthcare (HX) unit members may nominate themselves or any other HX member at their campus/medical center, with the exception of those working in Student Health Clinics. HX members at Student Health Clinics may nominate anyone at a Student Health Clinic from any campus.

• Research and Technical (RX/TX) unit members may nominate themselves or someone from either unit at their campus/medical center.

If there are more nominees than representatives for any position, an election will be held beginning on April 4 in conjunction with our 2024 Platform ratification vote.
