For better patient care,
support internal equity

Though UC Davis Health is widely recognized for excellence in pediatrics, primary care, and specialized treatments, it fails to match these accolades with fair compensation for the caregivers who provide such high-quality patient care. In response, employees are urging an internal equity review to ensure transparent and equitable pay for rehabilitation workers and other specialized staff. By fairly compensating these professionals—who deliver critical pediatric, neurological, and trauma services—UC Davis Health can reinforce its role as a vital safety net for low-income communities, ensure continuity of care for vulnerable patients, and maintain its reputation as a leading institution in healthcare innovation.

We’re calling on Kimberly M Bleichner-Jones, the Associate Chief Operating Officer of UC Davis Health, to conduct an internal equity review.

This review will:

  1. Ensure that dedicated, experienced staff are valued and supported;

  2. Create transparency and fairness in compensation, strengthening trust between caregivers, patients, and the community; and

  3. Help maintain the excellence and compassion that patients rely on, especially those most in need.
