UPTE Localwide and Chapter Elections
Learn more at upte.org/elections
UPTE is proud to be a member-run union. At every level of our organization, broad participation in our decision-making is essential to keeping our union strong.
That includes the hundreds of unit and workplace representatives who are tackling the day-to-day issues we face at work, the convention delegates who help set the course of our union each year, or the chapter officers and statewide executive board officers we elect to oversee the execution of that plan.
An election was held via mail ballot from October 25 - November 18, managed by MK Elections. Ballots were mailed on October 25 and the results were tabulated the morning of November 18, 2023. We certify that the ballot tally was fairly and accurately conducted, the secrecy of the ballots was maintained, and that the election results are as indicated as below:

Our union democracy is how we ensure that every member has a voice and a say in setting goals for our union, determining our contract negotiation priorities, and ensuring we use our resources effectively and strategically.
All UPTE members are eligible to vote in our elections. Ballots were mailed to the addresses we have on file. We shared numerous updates from our Election Committee via email, and each candidate was given equal access to our email list so they could make the case for why their fellow members should vote for them. We also posted notices on our website, social media channels, and in our monthly email newsletter.
Thanks to everyone who cast a ballot in these elections—your participation and input are how we will keep our union strong for the work ahead.
Sincerely,
UPTE-CWA 9119 Election Committee:
Elizabeth Geno, Chair
