UC San Diego Health has announced layoffs of frontline staff, which jeopardize patient care, even as the University of California holds more than $26 billion in liquid reserves and $41 billion in endowment funds. UPTE is calling on all members and allies to stand together this week: Attend an all-UPTE mass meeting on Thursday, June 26 (12 – 1 pm) at Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion at UC San Diego Health to discuss the next steps and potential immediate action—lunch included.
